AIT RRCAP is a member organization to the Asian Co-benefits Partnership (ACP) launched in 2010, with Secretariat hosted by Institute of Global Environmental Strategies (IGES), Headquarters, Japan. The ACP seeks to collaborate with organizations working to mainstream co-benefits into decision making process in Asia. Many actions mitigate climate change while simultaneously delivering other development benefits such as cleaner air, healthier communities and greener cities. Ms. Adelaida B. Roman of AIT RRC.AP's Air and Atmospheric Pollution Cluster participated in the 9th Asian Co-benefits Partnership (ACP) Advisory Group Meeting held in Yokohama, Japan on 19 July 2018. The meeting discussed the dissemination strategy for co-benefits, the plan for the 4th White Paper for co-benefits, and the Work Plan for 2018-2019, among others. AIT RRC.AP attended the Learning-Oriented Real-Time Impact Assessment (LORTA) Design Workshop organized by the Independent Evaluation Unit of the Green Climate Fund on 24-26 July 2018 at the UN Service Building in Bangkok, Thailand. The workshop was attended by 58 participants from 23 countries around the world including development agencies, international financial institutions, and accredited entities to the GCF.
AIT RRC.AP worked along with the GCF Private Sector Unit, UNDP, Ministry of Energy of Mongolia, and XacBank to develop a draft impact evaluation design for FP028: Business loan program for GHG emissions reduction in Mongolia project of the XacBank. By the end of August, the GCF-IEU will select 4-6 projects among the 15 projects taken up in the workshop to be included in the LORTA pilot and will notify the corresponding working groups.

AIT RRC.AP was involved in providing live streaming services and co-organizing the conference entitled 'Bangkok Conference on Science, Technology, and Innovation for Addressing Wildlife and Forest Crimes and Attaining SDGs' with AIT Solutions on 28-30 August 2018 in Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand. The conference delved into three key issues governments are facing in their efforts to address illegal taking, trading and trafficking of protected species. It outlined the available (technological, infrastructural, financial and governance) support for national governments to advance the whole-of the-state approach and institute a mechanism for enhanced international cooperation to systematically tackle the transnational organized crime spanning across the globe. In 2017, RRC.AP has supported the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) in survey and compilation of Best Available Techniques (BAT) used for prevention and control of chemical pollution in India and China. RRC.AP, along with OECD, has conducted stakeholder consultations both countries and made a report on BAT in India and China, separately. Report on BAT in India was drafted by Dr. Ram Lal Verma, while report on BAT in China was drafted by Dr. Mara Regina Mendes, Mr. Guilberto Borongan, and Timothy Lam. Also, these reports were presented during the Expert Group Meeting on Best Available Techniques organized by OECD at the European Commission IPPC Bureau Joint Research Centre, Seville, Spain, during 14-15 November 2017

In June 2018, OECD has published a report "Best Available Techniques for Preventing and Controlling Industrial Pollution, Activity 2: Approaches to Establishing Best Available Techniques (BAT) Around the World" in which the report on India and China, drafted by RRCAP, has been included as a separate chapter, mentioning contribution of RRC.AP.

RRC.AP in partnership with the Secretariat for the Acid Deposition Monitoring Network (EANET) based in United Nations Environment – Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific, Bangkok, Thailand, published a report on the proceedings of the Seventeenth Session of the Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC17) meeting on the EANET, organized in Pathumthani, Thailand, during 26 – 28 September 2017. The meeting discussed and shared scientific achievements pertaining to acid deposition in East Asian region and drafted recommendations to the Intergovernmental Meeting on new scientific goals for coming years on acid deposition monitoring in the region. Printed copies of the report of SAC17 proceedings have been sent to the SAC members of the EANET member countries and to Network Center based in Niigata, Japan.

RRC.AP in partnership with the Secretariat for the Acid Deposition Monitoring Network (EANET) based in United Nations Environment – Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific, Bangkok, Thailand, published a report on the proceedings of the Nineteenth Session of the Intergovernmental Meeting (IG19) on the EANET, organized in Siam Reap, Cambodia, during 13 – 14 November 2017. The meeting discussed and made decisions on cooperation among the EANET member countries based on the recommendations made by the SAC 17 on acid deposition in East Asia. Printed copies of the report of the IG19 proceedings have been sent to EANET member countries and to Network Center based in Niigata, Japan.
